We just purchased a 29-foot Wellcraft Scarab from a boat owner in Des Moines. We can't wait for spring and summer to take it out in the lake. We might actually bring it down to the coasts of Texas, especially in South Padre Island or Galveston. The question is, what if we encounter a problem and the boat needed some servicing? Even though it's in tip-top shape, we want to find out whether there are some good boat services in Beaumont, Texas, or nearby areas. The result of such research is what I'm posting today. Read on!

They are possibly the most popular boat supplies and service area in Beaumont and around South Padre Island, Texas. In their website, there's plenty of boats in stock, but since we're not looking for a boat to buy, we went straight to Contact and service section. Texas Marine turns out to have two other locations: in Conroe and Seabrook. They also have some good information on older boats extended service contracts. It's great to know that Texas Marine offers "one of the most complete parts and accessories department in the industry, with over $250,000 in parts alone. They carry accessories for pleasure boaters and serious fishermen, including troll motors, and an electronics department with the latest in fish finders, chart recorders and GPS units."

Jorgensen Marine

Jorgensen Marine is another promising place for boat services in Beaumont, Texas. "Having grown up in his father's dealership, Pete Jorgensen (the owner) has over 40 years experience in the boating industry." Their store carries a lot of boat accessories such as Yamaha parts, interstate batteries, and even trailer parts. And although they specialize in Yamaha boat service, they said they also repair all other brands.

Heritage Marine and Outdoors

I wish Heritage Marine has a search box so I can check whether they have the Scarab model that we just bought. Despite this, I found a lot of useful information in their website. They sometimes post some discount coupons for boat service in Beaumont so maybe we are going to check back again just in case we need it. You can call them for a service appointment or go straight to their service request page (the staff might ask you to fill out online anyway). There is a lot missing when it comes to Heritage Marine's background in the industry but they give you what they have in the inventory right at the very homepage.

South Eastex Sports

South Eastex Sports is located several miles northeast of Beaumont, Texas in Vidor but is actually one of the near places to get a boat repair service in Beaumont. They specialize in Evinrude and Johnson repairs. They can also help with engine and trailer services as well as propeller repair. Those who are looking to get a new boat and need a little bit of financing help can get at South Eastex Sports. I checked their search box for a Wellcraft Scarab just like what we bought if the model is available in their inventory but the search results produced those from the web, not from their own site.
