Bob Dylan is 70 today, but he did an interview in the 60's that is very revealing and it has gone unheard for half a century. The BBC published Dylan's interview this week, according to IBN. Dylan admits to his heroin addiction and also talks about an infatuation with suicide in this interview. Dylan who is 70 years old today, was just a young man when this interview was done.

Dylan said he was really strung out on heroin for a while, he referred to it as a $25 dollar a day habit, which was a lot of money in the 60's. He said he was finally able to kick his habit while staying in New York. The interview was done late at night after a concert on a flight from Nebraska headed for Denver. Dylan's interview was done by journalist Robert Shelton, who boarded Dylan's private plane for this purpose.

The "Like a Rolling Stone" singer was amazingly dismissive of his work, basically saying it won't get him into heaven or keep him from going to hell. He also had an infatuation with suicide and talked about contemplating killing himself and the way he would do it, such as put a bullet in his head or jump out a window. Dylan was always thought to have had an heroin addiction, but he has never come out and talked about it. This interview could be the only time that he did admit to this problem, according to IBN.
