Bobby Carrot 1 CLSX iPhone Game Review

Bobby Carrot is back with a new take on the classic game. As a follow up to the largely successfully Bobby Carrot Forever, FDG Entertainment has released the new Bobby Carrot 1 CLSX - four exciting Bobby Carrot games in one!

Main Review

Bobby Carrot has been around for years, starting out as an applet for JAVA-based phones, on the iPhone.

The basic premise of the game is simple: players need to do either of two things within a single level without getting caught or trapped - collect as many carrots as possible, or lay as many Easter eggs as possible. Every level is riddled with obstacles, such as spikes and these obstacles force the player to strategically go through the level, reaching the end successfully without becoming trapped, or worse.

The game comes with two game modes - Easter eggs and carrots. In the carrot mode, players need to collect all carrots on the level. In the Easter egg mode, the player needs to lay eggs in the nests. Players need to accomplish these tasks for both modes without becoming trapped by obstacles. The two modes do not vary much, but the Easter egg mode introduces newer obstacles to the game more quickly as in comparison to the carrot mode.

The game controls are excellent. Players can choose between three options: either using the joystick, or the two available swipe methods. Graphics-wise, the game does not present anything superbly innovative, but the animation is done well, with colorful characters and background scenes.

A few minor complaints about the game - the joystick controls do not work really well. Another thing a few people might find annoying is the fact that one cannot simply leave a game and go back to it after some time. Once a player stops a game, say in carrot mode, to go to the Easter egg mode, he will need to start the carrot mode game all over again.

Apart from the few minor objections to the game, Bobby Carrot 1 CLSX is a great game.
