Bobby Massie, Hargrave Military Academy lineman, has picked Ole Miss. Bobbie Massie, a large lineman weighing at 335 lbs and 6' 8" tall, was expected to pledge to Ole Miss after he backed out from Virginia Tech earlier in 2008. Offensive tackle, Massie, is considered to be a prized recruit for Ole Miss' football program. Signing Day watchers were not surprised by Massie's choice, it was widely expected for Bobby Massie to make Ole' Miss pick official.

Houston Nutt, coach of University of Mississippi "Ole Miss" Rebels, should be pleased with Bobby Massie commitment. Because of Massie's size and his decent feet movement he can make an instant impact at Ole Miss. According to ESPN's "College Recruit Evaluations", Massie is considered to be a solid pass blocker, and he also does a good job of getting under a defender's pads. Bobby Massie's full ESPN College Recruit evaluation is available at ESPN.com.

Bobby Massie is expected to provide much needed help on Rebels offensive line. Ole Miss' were 5-3 at SEC West and their 2008 football season was 8-4. According to clarionledger.com, Houston Nutt made an aggressive push for Bobbie Massie to come to Ole Miss. Massie visited Oxford, Mississippi in December, checking out the school and Rebel football program.

Fans of Ole Miss Rebels have responded positively to Bobby Massie's commitment, some even with enthusiasm. However, Alabama Crimson Tide fans seem to be bitter. During his commitment ceremony, Bobby Massie rubbed Alabama fans wrong by faking to put an Alabama hat on his head. Bobby Massie then put on an Ole Miss hat. Expect to see Alabama Tide fans boo Massie whenever they get the chance.

Next four years at Ole Miss for Massie should be interesting to watch. He should grow as a player in both strength and football dominance.
