Bodega Bay: Live the Life of the Wealthy

I love the ocean, especially Bodega Bay. The ocean seems to have a different and exotic quality at Bodega Bay. The waves sound sweeter and the sun sets brighter. Just walking along the beach here makes me feel wealthy, and special. Feeling the sand on my toes and the wind in my hair makes my feel like a super model on a Sports Illustrated photo shoot.

I never dreamed that I could experience living the beach life. I thought only wealthy people got to wake up to the sounds of seals and waves. That is until I heard about Vacation Rentals USA. For a few dollars more than a five star hotel your family can enjoy the lifestyle of the rich and famous.

I had the distinct privilege to spend three nights and four days at Surf 'n Turf. A three bedroom plus den vacation rental home located in Bodega Harbour. The home had windows everywhere that let in natural sunlight throughout the day. There was also a sauna, whirlpool tub, and hot tub! Not to mention the view of Bodega Bay from one of the cliffs.

Another bonus of Bodega Harbour is the gorgeous golf course. I enjoyed sitting on the back porch with my morning tea watching the golfers tee off at the ninth hole. Just below the view of the tee was a cute little zen style garden with a water fountain.

Relaxing in a bathroom bigger than my kitchen, sleeping in a king size bed in a room far far away from the kids, and shutting myself into the hot sauna was absolute bliss. I felt like a queen in a palace just walking around the different levels of the Surf n' Turf home.

Washing dishes has never been more enjoyable than at Surf 'n Turf. The windows above the kitchen sink looked out directly onto the beach where the seals are barking and kids are splashing in the waves.

Then there is the sunset, the beauty can not be put into words. A sunset at Bodega Bay is as close as you can get to heaven on earth. As the colors change from yellows and oranges to reds, a peace settles into your soul and you know that no matter what comes with tomorrow you will have this life experience.

The weekend we spent at Surf n' Turf is my favorite memory and I can't wait until I can afford to return to Bodega Bay.
