Body of Missing Five Year Old Found

On June 4th The body of 5 year old Nevaeh Buchanan was found In a river close to her home in Monroe Michigan. The Precious child had been missing for 11 day's.

May 24th Little Nevaeh was Reportedly playing with her scooter outside her home in an apartment complex in Monroe. When her mother, Jennifer Buchanan, went to look for her she had disappeared. There has been an intensive search for her since that time. On the 4th of June, police received a 911 call of a body being found encased in concrete in the nearby river raisin. A close relative of the child has informed news sources the this indeed is the body of little Nevaeh.

There are several person's of interest that are " friends" of the child's mother. At least 2 of them are known sex offenders. When asked by reporters why she would have known sex offenders around her child, Nevaeh' mother became very defensive to the point of even reportedly saying her boyfriend, George Kennedy, was like a father figure to her daughter.

George David Kennedy,has convictions for home invasion and criminal sexual conduct in the 4th degree. As part of his supervision conditions: He must be supervised around minors, and he can't have in his possession child clothing,toys or games.

The mother of a missing 5-year-old girl failed a portion of a polygraph test but is not considered a suspect in the case, authorities said several days prior to the body being found.

Nevaeh's birth father, 22-year-old Shane Hinojosa, say's he hasn't seen his daughter in three years. He lives in Toledo Ohio and a search of his past only revealed some recent traffic violations. He plead guilty to all of them. He became the girl's father when he was 17-years-old.

Nevaeh's father has been active in the search for his daughter and was at the crime scene with police as they gathered the forensic evidence and was devastated at the gruesome discovery.

In this writers opinion Whoever committed this horrendous crime should feel the full impact of the law and be put to death. The mother may also hold some moral responsibility because of her choice in friends. It has been reported that she met George Kennedy at her probation office where she was instructed to report regularly due to her involvement in a home invasion.

The county sheriff, Tilman Crutchfield, announced that the body matches the age, size, and gender of Nevaeh Buchanan. An autopsy is currently in progress.

Early forensic investigation suggests murder. The medical examiners report has not been released at the time of this writing.
