Body Pillows Made for Pregnancy Are a Perfect Fit

Sleeping Doesn't Have to Be a Chore for Pregnant Moms Anymore

Heather de Winter
Who knew sleeping could be perilous? During pregnancy, especially the third trimester, sleeping can be a chore. Getting comfortable can be nearly impossible, and sleeping on your back can be dangerous. All that extra weight up front can actually cause major circulation problems. Sleeping on your stomach is out of the question, which leaves you with your left or your right. Pick a side.

With only two sleeping positions to choose from, pregnant women can easily succumb to sore hips and backs, stiff necks and shoulders, even sore ears! Choosing a body pillow designed especially for pregnant women can bring sweet relief to bedtime.

Leachco Products
The Snoogle is Leachco's signature pillow for expectant moms. They have four models of Snoogle to fit any sleeping arrangement. The traditional Snoogle is a long, C-shaped pillow which supports head, hips and tummy. The Snoogle Mini is half the size of the standard Snoogle and can either be used for head and belly support or leg and hip support. The Snoogle Loop looks just like it sounds. It wraps all the way around momma's body to create a nest. It makes rolling over easer since there is no need to readjust the pillow.

The candy cane shaped Preggle is designed with special air flow ventilation. The ventilation bands can be adjusted to wherever your "hotspots" are to provide targeted relief.

Leachco recommends their Grow To Sleep for moms expecting multiples. It has extra padding for extra relief from pressure points, a self-adjusting center piece to accomodate growing tummies, and the ends can be removed

The Back and Belly pillow is another one that won't need readjustment when you roll over. It is designed especially for moms who need additional belly support.

Boppy Pillows
The Boppy Cuddle Pillow is a small prenatal pillow meant to provide support for the belly and lower back. It has a deluxe 360 thread count slipcover that is easily washable.

The Pregnancy Wedge is a small pillow made from dense foam. It slides under mom's belly to provide comfortable back and belly support without taking up valuable space in the bed.

The Total Body Pillow is shaped like a large number "3". It contours the curves of the pregnant figure providing head, belly and leg support.

Snoozer Pillows
The Snoozer Full Body Pillow is shaped like a candy cane to provide full support from head to toe. It comes in four types of synthetic or natural goose down.

The Upper Body Pillow doesn't just have to be used for the upper body. It can be used to support the head, neck and belly, or positioned between the legs to provide lower back, leg, hip and tummy support. It is also available in one of four types of down.

The Junior Body Pillow is smaller than the other two and provides comfort while not sacrificing space in the bed. Unlike the other two Snoozer models, the Junior is only available with polyfill synthetic down.

Because these pillows are so nicely contoured, they can be used as nursing pillows after baby is born.
