Body of Water

Our bodies are like the sea
Waves that come overlapping you and me,
But never intended to cross their lines.
These lines take down your house, my house, our friends'
They tumble over them like bowling pins.
We must protect that boundary.
We must hold our houses up intact.
We must be those beautiful, pure, prosperous waves
Of the ocean...
Together.
For now we will not rush over the land.
When that day comes, we will have new boundaries...
A vast ocean to swim in, play in, be in.
We will be satisfied, full of invention.
We will be motivated to swim the distance.
We will be content to live within the ocean's hands.
But, for now our oceans are our minds.
Let's explore each other intellectually, systematically, automatically.
Let's be each other's Bible, dictionary, encyclopedia.
What do you know?
What can you do?
What can you tell me?
I want to hear it.
I want you to hear me.
Listen to me.
I want to know me
So that we can continue in the waves and go out into the ocean...
Going the distance.
For eternity. Just to be, fun to be with you, being with me.
