Bodycology Bath Bombs, an Inexpensive Way to Pamper Yourself

Laura Lond
I love Bodycology bath bombs. When I had first discovered them a couple of years ago, I was pleasantly surprised at how large and at the same time inexpensive they were. Three bath bombs the size of a tennis ball nicely packaged in a transparent plastic tube are sold for around $6. Most other brands want more than that for one bath bomb, especially when it comes to extra-size ones.

Our local WalMart sells Bodycology bath bombs in four scents, I will list them in order of my personal preference:

White Gardenia. This one is my favorite. Pure white bombs sizzle and dissolve in water, releasing a most gentle fragrance. Being so large, they last quite a while, unlike smaller kinds that are gone before you have had a chance to fully enjoy them. The wonderful scent and longevity are not all the advantages though: the bath bomb does an excellent job softening and moisturizing your skin.

Coconut and Lime. This one is very good, too. The bath bombs are pale green, and the scent is a careful balance of citrus and coconut. Neither one is overpowering. The strong moisturizing effect is there as well, my skin feels so soft and smooth afterwards.

Vanilla Butterscotch. This fragrance might take some getting used to, I personally would prefer plain vanilla. If you enjoy sweet, candy-like smells, you will probably like it.

Juicy Pomegranate. This one is a disappointment. The fragrance is alright, but the bath bombs themselves are pink, and as they dissolve they release the pink coloring that will color everything, including you and the tub. Each time I used them, I had to scrub the tub afterwards. I do not recommend this variety.

Bodycology bath bombs are also available in Peach Mango, as I have discovered from my online search; this one sounds really good. Amazon.com carries them for $9.99 for a pack of 3.

I wonder if Sephora has them, since the product is called Bodycology and they have a line called Philosophy. Similar names, who knows? I shop at Sephora as you can tell. =)
