Bodycology Peach Mango Body Mist

Julie James
Although I have a favorite perfume, I keep a small array of body mists in varied scents for variety. One of my favorites is Bodycology Peach Mango Body Mist.

Touted by the company as being "energizing," this body mist, packaged in a plastic, pump-spray bottle, does have an invigoratingly strong peach scent. The undertone of the scent comes across as citrus, but is actually mango. To me, it seems more of an orange scent, but it's fruity nonetheless.

While I find the Peach Mango scent to be refreshing, it can come off as a little strong. When applying, I find it best to dispense the product into the air above my head and let it fall onto my skin. By applying this way, I get the full effect of the scent without over-application. In addition, the scent is primarily in my hair and tends to waft around when I move my head.

Bodycology Peach Mango Body Mist also includes aloe vera and castor oil. Fighting dry skin on my shins and arms can quickly become a losing battle for me if I don't stay on top of the problem. If I'm ready to go somewhere but have forgotten to moisturize, I can give each leg and each arm a couple of spritzes of this product, and my skin is adequately moisturized for a few hours. This definitely won't condition your skin as well as your favorite lotion, but it will do in a pinch. The bonus to the conditioning properties is the product does not leave any sort of oily residue. I've never experienced transfer onto clothing, nor does it leave my skin with a sheen.

Many would consider this scent to be a spring/summer scent, and for everyday wear, I would agree. However, during the winter months I find this uplifting scent to be a nice pick-me-up for the snowy, gray days every now and again.

One "off-label" use I've tried is using this product as a room spray. I don't care for traditional room sprays as I find those I've tried rather cloying, but this light, fresh scent smells nice in my living room and bedroom. I simply spray the product 4 or 5 times straight up into the air in the center of the room. The scent remains in the room for about two hours, and disperses beautifully so as not to become overbearing.

**Note - because of the aloe vera and castor oil, I would not recommend using this spray in a room which has a floor that can become slippery.

If you like fresh, fruity scents, I recommend giving Bodycology Peach Mango Body Mist a try.
