Boise State Football Schedule 2010 to Change BCS?

Robert Dougherty
The Boise State football schedule 2010 could be the most controversial of the year. Although the Boise State football schedule 2010 starts with tough games, Boise State football has a clearer route through the WAC conference. Since the Broncos are thought to have a cupcake schedule after September, it is considered a strike against their national championship hopes. However, if the Broncos lose one of their September games, it will be a meaningless debate in the national title race. But if the Boise State football schedule 2010 starts with a win over Virginia Tech, it may define the entire college football season.

Although it is only Labor Day, some feel that tonight's game could determine one half of the BCS title game. The Broncos are in all the preseason top 5 polls, as they hope to actually play for the championship for the first time. But to do that, they have many on and off field obstacles to overcome.

The opener of the Boise State football schedule 2010 is for all the early marbles, as they face fellow top 10 team Virginia Tech in Landover, Maryland. Since they play a BCS conference leader, and since this is a virtual home game for the Hokies, a Broncos victory would mean a lot in the polls.

If the Broncos win tonight, then the rest of the Boise State football schedule 2010 will be considered a cake walk. Their other big test of the year comes on September 25, as they host Oregon State. Since the Broncos get that game on their notorious blue turf, they are considered favorites in that one.

The rest of the Boise State football schedule 2010 is made up of WAC teams and other heavy underdogs. Most believe that if the Broncos beat the Hokies and Beavers, nothing will stop them from going 12-0. As such, that may finally get them over the hump towards the national title game.

The Broncos have gone 12-0 before, but have fallen well short of the BCS top 2. However, they were ranked relatively low in the preseason, and had to make up ground just to make the BCS. Since they're ranked third in the AP and fifth in the USA TODAY now, a 12-0 season could easily get them in the top 2 this time.

Of course, the Broncos might still need some help, especially if Alabama and Ohio State finish undefeated as well. The BCS is still considered hostile towards mid-majors, especially when it comes to the national championship. But if the Boise State football schedule 2010 is perfect, it could be the event that changes the BCS for good.

However, a loss against the Hokies would end those chances before they began, making all of this speculation meaningless. The big test comes tonight in Maryland, as Boise State football has its biggest non-BCS game ever, at 8 pm est on ESPN.

Come on! Boise State is a great team in a cup cake league. Both teams tonight look like crap. Now they go on to play who??? Nobody in the country is going to tune into watch this team play bull_hit teams the rest of the season. They have the most laughable schedule the BCS won't let some wac job team play for the title. You put them in the SEC they lose 3 games.

Good win tonight Broncos. Let's really turn the BCS upside down....how about Boise St. vs TCU for BCS title? Our Horned Frogs took care of business last Saturday and Boise St came through tonight. I'd love to see that matchup.
