Bold & Fresh Tour

Beck, O'Reilly Tour the Country

William Browning
In addition to getting Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck together on the same network, now Fox News has sent them on a tour of America called the Bold & Fresh Tour. While Fox News is surely touting their new ratings coup of being cable's most watched news network, let's take a look at what's really happening with these two gluttons for political right wing punishment.
Sold Out Shows

The Bold & Fresh Tour is selling out every venue it reaches. Places like the spacious 3,000 seat Pasadena Civic Auditorium. And that's probably the largest place to go. Other cities on the tour include Tampa, Norfolk, and Charleston. In Tampa, two sold out shows rocked the Sundome on the campus of USF.

If I didn't know that Fox News shouldn't be taken seriously before, I can say it for certain now. What network sends two of their biggest names to talk to the American public and has the gall to call it news? I don't see Anderson Cooper and Larry King going on tour. No, that's because they are serious journalists who actually do their jobs and report on the news.

Is Fox Serious?

I think it is also a commentary on how Americans perceive news when the Fox freak show is gaining even more popularity even though serious news reporting has taken a back seat to the two ring circus of Beck and O'Reilly. The two blowhards whose claim to fame is getting into arguments with everyone they don't agree with is selling out venues as much as 3,000 full. Ooooooh. What gives me hope is that they won't even come close to filling up the Staples Center, Madison Square Garden, you get my point.

Where has ethics in journalism on television gone? Ethics haven't been improved with increased competition in a news market. Fox claims to have a news network when really they just place their two biggest airbags in front of a cameras and watch the hot gas escape. Oh, that noise coming out of their mouths is actually words in English? Sounds like whoopee cushion to me.

No, Fox isn't serious and neither are Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly. Unfortunately or no, many millions of Americans listen to them and are willing to pay to see them in person. I like my journalists where they belong, which is reporting on the news. I'd like to keep my Anderson Coopers and Tom Brokaws of the world. Airbags deflate eventually.

Ha. I have to agree w/Colin's comments. You do sound very jealous. Like he said, they are NOT news people, but talk commentators & do very well, much to your dislike. However, unlike your other people you "stick" with ALL the time, these guys give opinions on BOTH sides, not JUST the left. And that is why FNN is out rating all the others.

Wow. Sounds like you're a little jealous. Beck and O'Reilly never claimed to have news shows. They have said repeatedely that they have talk shows. You're clearly a leftist.
