Bomb Found in Karacaahmet Cemetery Before it Exploded

Istanbul -- Hurriyet, the Turkish newspaper, reported that a bomb placed in the Karacaahmet Cemetery was found 20 minutes before it exploded. This was the 5^th bombing in Turkey that PKK, the Kurdish terrorist organization planned. Turkish Armed Forces, supplied by American Intel Reports, launched an attack on Kurdish Rebels at the start of the summer, killing many of them in Southeastern Turkey and Northern Iraq. After this defeat, Kurdish Terrorists started launching attacks in the big cities of Turkey, mostly in Istanbul.

On July 28, two explosions in Gungoren district of Istanbul killed 17 and injured around 150. The terrorist who placed the bombs later got arrested and he explained how he did the bombing to the TV channels, ''I planted the bomb, and then sit on a bench and just watched the people die''. Later that month, a terrorist equipped with a mortar, was supposed to attack a military complex in Istanbul. A building close to that military complex caught fire at that time. Some sources say the terrorist fired the mortar but hit the wrong building and some say the terrorist was seen by civilians and he had to run away before he attacked. It was only few days ago, the car loaded with bombs exploded at a police check point.

The police got the intelligence report that there was going to be a bomb in a car. They put two road barricades on a road in the city of Mersin. At the first police checkpoint, the car drove through the barricades but at the second, terrorist exploded the bomb killing himself and injuring 13 police. On August 22, the terrorists targeted the police and the army personnel. They planted a bomb next to the road that the police bus was going to pass. The terrorist's timing wasn't good as he exploded the bomb before the bus was close to there. This explosion injured 16 police and army personnel also damaging the buildings nearby. And today, they placed the bomb in Karacaahmet Cemetery where there are a lot of people on weekends. The people saw the package and called the police. As the police came and disabled the bomb, they saw that it was an A4 Plastic Bomb.

Luckily the bomb that the terrorists planted today didn't explode but it doesn't seem PKK will end their bombings. Unfortunately there are still some countries who don't accept PKK as a terrorist organization.
