Bombshell: Sandra Bullock Bitter Breakup W/ Jesse James on Heels of Sweet Oscar Success

March 19, 2010. During her funny yet emotional acceptance speech for her Best Actress Academy Award for the film The Blind Side and while holding the Oscar statuette, Sandra Bullock shakily credited her mother for the good things in her life, including motorcycle-tycoon husband, Jesse James. "So, (thanks) to that trailblazer (mom Helga D. Meyer) who allowed me to have that" (Bullock pointed to James, in the audience) "and this," she added as she slightly raised the Oscar. The camera panned to James, who sat there with eyes watering. This was on March 7, 2010.

Just days later, James, while not admitting to a full-blown affair, was publicly apologizing for his relationship with tattoo model Michelle 'Bombshell' McGee, someone who befriended him on MySpace. Something about her caught his eye because he began corresponding with McGee. In-between Oscar night and James' apology to his wife and his three children from previous marriages, Bullock moved out of their Los Angeles home.

On Wednesday, a day earlier than the apology, Bullock issued a statement through Warner Bros. UK that due to 'unforeseen personal reasons', she won't go to the next Tuesday's premiere of The Blind Side. Bullock not only won an Oscar for the critically-acclaimed film but also a Screen Actors Guild award and a Golden Globe.

Bullock's first brush with the celebrity scandal zone was in November 2009 during James's custody battle with ex-wife porn star Janine Lindemulder for their daughter Sunny James, now six. Yet, Bullock was barely touched by her first scandal. Things went publicly quiet even though the custody battle rages on. An Orange County judge praised Bullock and James for their commendable caring of Sunny despite the blaze of news media focus. Yet, he also ordered them to participate in couple counseling.

This second brush with the celebrity scandal zone may cling to Bullock longer. Especially since Tiger Woods' mistresses have been popping out of the woodwork left and right since Woods' indiscreet cell phone communication with nightclub hostess Rachel Uchitel was discovered by his wife Elin Nordegren, who then allegedly attacked Woods with a 3-iron golf club. So even though more mistresses may not be in Jesse James history since his marriage to Sandra Bullock, the news media will not only be watching and waiting for more potential mistresses- but also searching.
