Bon Jovi to Play Central Park, NYC
Jon and the Guys and Gals of Bon Jovi Will Be Ending Their Lost Highway Tour at Central Park in New York City
Jon stated "We always end every tour at Giants Stadium, but we're going to do Central Park this year. That hasn't been announced yet, [but] there you go, we're doing Central Park." There isn't an official date for the show as of yet, but rumors are stating that this is going to be the final show of the Lost Highway Tour. There have been other large shows at Central Park; Garth Brooks took the lawn in 1997, as did Dave Matthews Band in 2003. This should be an amazing concert, and I am a very big Bon Jovi fan.
If you browse through the internet, there is an UNOFFICIAL date that has been posted for Central Park, that date is July 12th, 2008, which is before both MSG dates, but I would think that Central Park would be the final show of the tour, seeing that it is fairly larger than a stadium show. The two MSG shows have already been officially confirmed, so it's all up to the Central Park staff and Jon to decide when the official date will be confirmed.
Jon has lived in Manhattan for the past year. He and his family moved there from their native New Jersey home, but he is still a Jersey boy at heart. It can also be confirmed since he hasn't sold his Jersey home, nor does he plan on doing so. I'm sure we will see more Giants Stadium shows in the future, and I am a little bummed that he isn't playing this year, but I am psyched that I will be seeing him at Central Park, as well as both MSG shows. I was waiting for an outdoor event around the NYNJ area, and well... We got one!

I am going nuts waiting for the official date of the Central park show. I live in Toronto, Canada and am planning an all girls get away to the park for the show. I log onto Bon Jovi's web site everyday to see if there is an announcement and to my surprise......nothing. Come on already! Announce the date! Thanks.
