Bone Thugs N Harmony New Album Uni5 Official Release Date Announced

On December 1^st, 2008, all five members of the best-selling rap group Bone Thugs N Harmony performed live on stage together for the first time in this century. The event at Club Nokia in Los Angeles was sold out and thousands of fans listened to the group perform memorable songs from several of their albums, including unreleased music.

Later that night on Bone Thugs N Harmony's MySpace page, a bulletin press release was posted, finally announcing the official release date of their new album project - Uni5. It is slated to hit the shelves on September 22nd, 2009; just in time for Fall.

The Uni5 project has been a movement started by the group after Flesh N Bone, one of the original members, was released from prison on July 13^th, 2008 and has reunited with Krayzie, Layzie, Wish, and Bizzy Bone. In an exclusive interview on HipHopDX.com , Bizzy Bone was enthusiastic about the new musical style they wanted to bring to the world and has stated that they were working hard on their music - with 10-20 tracks recorded and over 200 tracks already being completed. They have left their label, Interscope Records, to form under a brand new label called Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Worldwide, which is where the new album Uni5 will be produced and released.

In the wake of this announcement, Bone Thugs N Harmony have continued to be successful, with Krayzie Bone and Bizzy Bone creating solo albums and mixtapes for the die-hard rap community, and also with their feature length movie "I Tried" going platinum in DVD sales at Amazon.

In the release details, Krayzie Bone had this to say about Uni5 and the reuniting of all the members after over a decade, "We are just like any real family - we fight and have disagreements, but at the end of the day, we are brothers, from our skin down to our Bones! Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will be a family, unit, team, and group always!"
