Bones of Twilight

Jessica Favata
Tight dress

Wet clothes

In a desert where nobody knows about

The Bones of Twilight

In her honey chamomile summer dress

Her soft scream shook the feathers of her cage

He offered a trainwreck handshake

And his eyes could've watched her forever.

The mountain rumble was her laughter in that desert

The prairie fish sat in limbo

As her black and white words became cactus laughter

And black crows

With rosebud cheeks

Dove in and out of view

She had a set of eyes that turned him liquid gold

And he ran rivers through the sand valley

And she drank his brooding pout

The meaning of life, to me, can be summed up in a few basic terms: love, food, wine, and travel... It's the simple things.  View profile
