"Bones" How Can We Mend Agent Booth's Broken Heart?

CJMathis
What does the future hold for Special Agent Seeley Booth of "Bones"? Season 6 Episode 13 "The Daredevil in the Mold" takes Agent Booth once again down the road towards a broken heart. Viewers may recall that Seeley lost his heart to the mother of his son when she decided she would not marry him. In Season 5 Seeley lost his heart to Brennan when she explained, she could not love another, as she does not believe in love. Now with his new love, Hannah, whom he met while serving in Iraq, Seeley made the decision he would ask her to marry him.

Seeley came to this exciting decision while sharing drinks with Dr. Sweets at their regular bar. The discussion began with Sweets trying to make up his mind about proposing to his girlfriend, Daisy. However, we find these two later on in a jewelry store trying to choose the engagement rings for their future wives. Silly Dr. Sweets decides he is not ready for the big act after he sees the price tags of the rings under the glass.

The viewers get to watch as Agent Booth opens up to Hannah in front of the Lincoln Memorial. He is so excited about his decision that he proposes right there by the pond; however, Hannah refuses his proposal stating clearly, "I am not the marrying type." The pain is obvious and clear on Seeley's face causing him to throw the newly purchased diamond ring into the fountain.

Now the door is once again open for Dr. Brennan with Hannah out of the romantic picture with Booth. Yes, earlier we have witnessed Dr. Brennan as she went through some tough emotions over her rejection of Seeley, analyzing her feelings that love has passed her by.

However, while this drama between Seeley, Hannah, and Dr. Brennan unfolds we the fans enjoy watching the teams hard work while solving the mystery of the "mold-covered body" found on a rooftop. Fans love the tension between Fisher (Joel Moore) Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) as Fisher gets control of his depressive emotions by listening to ocean waves on earphones and sips a rancid smelling tea. See another talented facial reconstruction by Angela (Michaela Conlin), while the intense guidance of the group kept moving under the great command of Camille (Tamara Taylor) while they struggle to solve the mystery. Mystery solved, killing an accident, the violator under arrest; however, a new door is open at the closing of the show.

Booth and Brennan alone together at their favorite bar, "Bones" fans enjoy this private moment between the two. Booth crushed by the rejections from Hannah, Bones, and the mother of his son, but demands that Brennan either walk away now or stay and drink with him. His meaning is clear that he wants her to be nothing more than his partner.

"Bones" fans are left with a sudden heartbeat of faith that maybe, just maybe, Seeley and Brennan will some day become a couple. Leaving viewers hoping for this to happen; however, knowing that if these two characters were to hook-up the show would be finished. The tension and love felt between these two make the sparks fly that keep the show "Bones" on top of the charts and bringing viewers back each season and every week.
