Perhaps the most unique thing about this establishment, besides the fact that all piercings are $24.99 (including your standard basic jewelry for said piercing) is the concept of the monthly piercing party. $29.99 gets you in the door, and you can get all the piercings you can take. Of course, unlike the normal piercings, you do have to pay for your jewelry, but those cost anywhere from $3-$6/each. These piercing parties usually take place on the last Friday of every month, beginning at 8:00 pm, and run until the last piercing is completed. While you can receive piercings with parental consent any other time, you must be 18 years or older to attend these parties.
Now, some may wonder-if they can provide such service at such reduced costs in comparison to their competitors, how is the service? Well, as a customer of Bonnie and Clyde's myself, I can say that I experienced absolutely excellent service, that I would recommend to anyone in the local area, or even tourists who may be looking for a piercing as a souvenir. Everything was conducted in a very professional manner, and in a very meticulously clean environment. I was very impressed, as the room was sanitized as I watched. The needle was opened, and disposed of in front of me after my piercing. The shop was opened for me, as I called when I drove by and saw they were closed. He offered to open back up and pierce me. So when I was finished, I tried to offer him a tip as an extra thank you. He offered some resistance, as it was against policy to accept tips, but I finally got him to take it.
Come to find out the following week, as a celebration of the first anniversary of the store opening, all the tip money gathered for the year was going to purchase a car. Whatever the best car they could buy with the total money from the tips would then be given to one lucky person. All the names of people they have pierced during their first year would go into a hat, and whoever's name was drawn would win the car. The more piercings you get, the better your chances are. The drawing is set to take place on April 20, 2008, and you must be present to win.
So the next time you decide you want a piercing, head on over to Bonnie and Clyde's, located on Patton Avenue, across from the Citgo station. Check them out on Myspace, too.
