Bono's Daughter Eve Hewson Makes Acting Debut

Memphis Eve Hewson, the second child of rock star Bono, is now an actress. Born July 7, 1991, Eve seemed to exhibit her father's outgoing nature early. She never shied from the spotlight and appeared in U2 Go Home: Live from Slane Castle when Bono invited her onstage to dance during a performance of 'Mysterious Ways.' Well, "Little Eve"- as he called her that night- is not so little anymore.

Eve Hewson made her acting debut in the movie The 27 Club in early 2008. In it she plays Stella, a young hitch-hiker who becomes a central character in the story. The movie remains unrated and is an indy. It is a road-trip/discovering-oneself movie based on the popular culture term "the 27 Club", sometimes called "the Forever 27 Club". This includes those celebrities who die or commit suicide at the age of 27. In the movie, a grieving rock star hires a grocery store clerk to drive him across America to the funeral of his best friend who (you guessed it) died at the age of 27.

The movie made the film festival circuit throughout 2008 and won several awards, including Best Independent Feature, Best Narrative Feature, Best Director, and Star On The Horizon (Alexie Gilmore). Hewson, who looks like her mom with her dad's eyes, was accompanied to the festivals by her mom since she was underage and the two looked great! Other cast members included Joe Anderson (Across the Universe, Control), James Forgey, and Traci Dinwiddie.

It will be interesting to see how this beautiful young woman's career unfolds.
