Book of Genesis Reminds Us Not to Lose Our Faith when in a Crisis

In the book of Genesis Joseph is described as a loving brother who is favored by his brothers. He was envied by them because of the love their father had for him. Joseph would have many dreams, mostly meaningful, he shared one dream to his father and brothers.

(Genesis 37:9) " Look, I have dreamed another dream, and this time, the sun, the moon and the eleven stars bowed down to me. The meaning to the dream was that his parents and his eleven brothers would come to bow down to the earth before him, which made his brothers envy him even more. This is when they sold him to the Ishmaelites who took Joseph to Egypt.

Joseph soon rose to power because of his dreams, helping the Pharaoh understand the meanings to his dreams. Pharaoh says in ( Genesis 41:45) " See I have set you over all the land of Egypt".

Joseph's brothers had to return to Egypt for food and were met with him as he was the one who sold the food to the people but they did not recognize him and he did recognize them. He was filled with anger because of what they had done so he accused them of being spies and had them imprisoned for three days. He then told them to go back to Canaan and bring there youngest living brother if they wanted to live.

When they got back he couldn't resist being around all his brothers and he revealed himself to them as written in (Genesis 45:4) " I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold to Egypt. But now, do not therefore be grieved or angry with yourselves because you sold me here for God sent me before you to preserve life".
(Genesis 45:8) So now it was not you who sent me here, but God ; and he has made me a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt".

This is an example of what is going on right now in our lives. We must always stay true and all will be given in time, just make sure you give your all to him.

Faithfulness will be rewarded.

Just as Joseph forgave his brothers because he knew it was God's plan, without such event he would have never become the person he was throughout Egypt. Even during bad times we must seek him. God will hear your prayers, just make sure you trust in him.
