Now I must admit that I picked up this book because I figured that it could help me out even if I'm not the bar hopping type and it sure did. The advice from these two seasoned bartenders is not only useful in the bar world, but even if you happen to spot that cute guy sitting across from you in a trendy restaurant.
All the things that you thought you were doing right to help get that guy were in fact wrong and Zaric and Kosmas are not afraid to point it out. Their book shares stories that they have heard while bartending and they back it up with real life encounters they've witnessed while tending to the neediest and greediest of women and men. Women take note, give him space to talk or you'll end up left alone talking to yourself.
The book takes you through a series of seventeen "truths" where the two writers dish about what makes a woman attractive, and it's not her eyeliner. Their honesty is invaluable in this little guide that even tells you how to pick and choose your wingman when bar hopping. Sometimes your best friend can end up becoming your worst enemy.
I love the little extras this book has to offer like "Extra, Extra What His Accessories Say About Him." This little note in the book tells you what to look for and what to watch out for when it comes to a man's accessories. A Palm Pilot equals money but a pager says you'll have lonely nights in the future. They even go so far as to give you helpful tips on gaining more confidence such as something as simple as sitting on your thighs in order to stand up straight. Little tidbits like this along with great drink recipes help smooth out any rough edges and keep you interested in what Zaric and Kosmas are saying.
The first thing that attracted me to this book was its Sex in the City-esque cover with this cat-like drawing of a woman on the side and martini glasses and bottles representing the skyline. They sure know how to get a readers attention, especially one already looking for a man. They had me hook line and sinker with their promise to give up the secrets of the male species and how to be more confident around them. Published in the UK by Harper Element, this book is sure to turn heads once it makes it's way into the states.
