Book Review: God's Master Plan for Your Life by Gloria Copeland

Those words were spoken by God to Gloria Copeland's heart when she and her husband Kenneth were preaching in San Juan, Puerto Rico some years ago; she says that the words still ring loud and clear in her today. God always has a plan.

The author goes on to tell us how delighted she was while reading a Jewish commentary some time ago discussing how God has a master plan for the Israelites and that man has the ability to connect with it. Therefore, she followed this logic: since the Israelites are our example, if God has a master plan for them, He has a master plan for us, and He has a master plan for me, and He has a master plan for you.

About the author

Gloria Copeland is a best-selling author, a co-founder of Kenneth Copeland Ministries, based in Fort Worth, and a deliverer of the Word of God through the Voice of Victory television ministry and through her writings in their magazine.

She often tells a story dating back to 1962 when she and her husband Kenneth, being newlyweds at the time, had nothing -- no money, no long-term plans, and most important, no relationship with God. She remembers picking up a Bible given to Kenneth by his mother that had this inscription: Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). After sharing her thoughts with Kenneth, who at that time was an unbeliever, soon the power of God began to work in him as well as in Gloria, and for the first time they began to connect to God's master plan.

The authors tells us to get ready for the ride of your life

As the author prepares us to begin this journey of discovery, she tells us that we are about to have our horizons expanded and to go further and climb higher than we ever dreamed we could. Why? She says that is because God's plans for us are far better than the plans we've made for ourselves. (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Before giving us Key One, Gloria Copeland writes this: Even as you read these words, God has your master plan ready. He's available to help you with it. As far as He's concerned, all systems are go. He is ready now for you to receive and respond. The next step is up to you.
