Book Review: "Heart and Soul" by Jillian Hart

"Heart and Soul", this love-inspired story by Jillian Hart, is a pleasant read. If you are Ever looking Inspirational books to read, Jillian Hart is one of the best authors to check out. It seems Like most of the older Love Inspired romance novels are the very best. This one is about Michelle McKaslin, who has four older sisters, and she feels like she is less than them. She's into shopping and cell phones, and her dreams are pretty basic. When she Helps an injured man on the road, she feels like God is working in her life.

So she Hires him as a handyman for room and board. Michelle believes this man is truly Mr. Right and her dreams just might come true this time. Gabe Brody is definitely not who he appears to be. He's an undercover agent who has to Expose a counterfeiting ring and it is someone in her family. He is prepared to arrest anyone and everyone involved in the crime. As he gets to know who Michelle really is, he cannot believe that she Could be part of such a thing. He grows to love her, and it really bothers him that he is Lying to her.

Even her family, most of them, with the exception of the criminal who doesn't trust him, embraces him wholeheartedly. When Gabe has to tell her the truth, he needs the help of the Lord to prove To her that he totally loves her. Will he win her Heart and Soul? I like the angle in this story of an undercover agent, who's investigating the heroine's family. That was a really good plot. The heroine, though has a problem with liars. One guy Claimed to be in love with her in the past and he was only out to get her family's money. So that not only hurt her, but embarrassed her. Michelle wants Gabe to be the one, but she is afraid of getting hurt. Again. Gabe has a sad past of his own, and when he gave up his life as an agent, he wanted to live Out his dream, which was the same thing as Michelle's. The romance in the story Is good too. It's not so much 'sweet' just very realistic and something you can definitely Relate to. There Is great conflict in this story, another oldie but goody novel.
