Book Review of "Heaven is so Real", by Choo Thomas

This is a Book Review about a book I read a couple of years ago. This book was published by Creation House Press, a Strang Company. Copyright 2003 by Choo Thomas.

"Heaven is So Real" caused me to do a lot of thinking while I was reading, and also after I finished reading the book. The author, Choo Thomas, a Korean-American, writes with a voice of authority. I have come to believe she experienced the events described in this book. The dedication gave me a definite idea of what to expect before I began to read the book, itself. Below is recorded how the dedication began and how it ended:

Beginning:
"I would like to dedicate this book to our Lord Jesus, who chose me to do His End-Time work. He took care of everything this book required, from the beginning to the end of the publishing process."

Ending:
"To the Father, the Son and the holy Spirit I give all the glory for this book. I pray that whoever reads it will glorify You, Lord. I love You and praise You, Lord."

Ms. Thomas states in the preface that each time she has gone to heaven with Jesus she would be given a new body. She further said she looked almost as she did as a teenager.

"People often ask me", she said, "Were your experiences in heaven actually visions or dreams, or did you actually go there?" She answered: "I do not want to place my experiences in any category, I will leave that to the theologians. All I can say is that they were very real to me."

The author also tells that usually these manifestations are followed quickly and suddenly by a tremendous surge within and a pulling, jerking sensation without. Then she sees her transformed body with the Lord on the earthly beach. From there, He takes her as if they are flying. Coming back from heaven, they always return to the same beach they started from. Her earthly body has remained in bed during each of the visits to heaven. During these experiences, she is both a participant and an observer. His visits usually happen during night time, or early mornning.

This is almost the same scenario as when a person dies and is brought back to life quickly. I have read and heard others tell about how they were floating above the bed where their body was lying during their death. Some have even told about going into a tunel, where there is a bright light at the end. Still others have said they actually saw heaven, how beautiful it is, and the fact that they did not want to go back to earth.

On the night of January 19, Choo felt the Lord's presence so intense in her room that she shook, perspired and felt weak for over an hour. Then she heard a voice, which was the voice of her Lord and Master. She turned and looked in the direction of the sound, and there she saw a glowing figure dressed in white garments. A kind of radiance that came from this visitor was so brilliant she could not see His face. In her heart she knew it was a blessing from the Lord.

"My daughter, Choo Nam, I am your Lord and I want to talk to you. You have been my special daughter for a long time," He said. From His further words, Choo realized her Lord wanted her for an extremely important work He had for her.

These visits from the Lord continued every day to the end of January. Choo Thomas was in awe each time Jesus came to visit. She exclaimed she had a feeling of total peace in His presence she had never felt before. Her insecurity of her earlier years was declining more with each visit. She knew He was preparing her for some kind of ministry, but she was not sure what her future would bring.
