Book Review: Hercules of the Revolution: A Novel Based on the Life of Peter Francisco by Travis Scott Bowman and James Warder
Life as little Pedro Francisco would change forever on one late evening day. Enjoying the luxuries' his wealthy family could provide for Pedro and his sister, they played as most children would in the magnificent "Garden" provided to them on an Island. Little did Pedro know it would be his last time, once greedy envious pirates would kidnap him, then leave him abandon on a dock at just five years old, alone in the "New world".
Life changing events were no stranger to this young bulky boy. Although he spoke not one world of English he adapted well in his new home at an orphanage. Although quite use to changing life styles and events nothing could of prepared him for the next 10 or so years of his life after the orphanage!
Pedro, now Peter, Learned many trades throughout his adolescent years and grew to be one of the biggest young men the new world at that time had ever seen! Diligent and Obedient as he was in his new home, and environment his heart and mind strayed often to the thought of a new occupation, "A soldier".
Proving him well, the life of a soldier became part of Peter just like the clothes he wore.
A factual and true story put into an easy read fictional like narrative allows for readers of all ages to enjoy this amazing story of history. Researched for many years by Peter's own 6th descendant Travis Bowman, a story hidden so well, throughout the years, is now alive and being told for all who want to hear it!
A page turner, that will blow your mind!!!!!!!!
