I attended a Vocational Technical High School. I did not receive the scholastic education that a kid going to a High School would have received. My curriculum included alternating between one week of scholastic subjects and one week of shop. In my case, shop was interior house wiring. When I graduated High School I worked one summer as an Electrician's helper. At the end of that summer, I decided that interior house wiring was not for me. I eventually attended a technical institute nights while working as a electronic technician days. I earned my way to a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

I always had an electrical code book. I learned the electrical code while I was in High School. I saw this book at McGraw-Hill, browsed through it and decided to buy it.

This book covers every aspect of electricity. It is divided into twelve parts.

The first chapter covers practical electrical theory. There are no complex formulas. Only what the reader needs to understand the practical applications accompanied by nice illustrations and explained in detail.

The second and third chapters explains the different methods of producing and distributing electricity.

The fourth chapters is about electrical safety.

The fifth chapter is about electrical code requirements.

The sixth chapter is about planning the electrical project.

The seventh chapter introduces the reader to the equipment and tools used.

The eight chapter is about electrical service and circuits in a residential home.

The ninth chapter is about wiring with Romex cable.

The tenth chapter is about wiring with BX cable and conduit.

The eleventh chapter is about wiring after remodeling your home.

The twelfth chapter is about appliances, ovens, ranges, air conditioners, water heaters, and more.

This book is an excellent book for the person who wants to learn practical electricity as well as the student starting an interior house wiring course in a technical school. It covers all aspects of electrical wiring.
