Also in Promises From God for Single Women, Bishop Jakes talks about relationships, happiness, and God's purpose for single women. Being a subject that most Christians shy away from talking about in public, sex is not left off the list. Check out an excerpt out of T.D. Jakes's Promises From God for Single Women (page 70-71):
"For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey and her mouth is smoother than oil, but in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps lay hold of hell. Lest you ponder her path of life- her ways are unstable, you do not know them." -Proverbs 5:3-6
You see other women using their sexual wiles to snare a man. Don't stoop to their sinful level. You have a more powerful weapon on your side- Jesus Christ. He wants you to honor yourself and trust in Him to send you Mr. Right rather than Mr. Right Now. The wait will be well worth it.

Bishop Jakes is a bestselling author of various books including God's Leading Lady, Woman Thou Art Loosed, He-Motions, and Before You Do. He is also a songwriter who has earned Grammy nominations. Bishop Jakes is the head of T.D. Jakes Enterprise and owns a theater company called Touchdown Concepts.
I highly recommend this book for single women who struggle at being a faithful woman in Christ.

Post a CommentWhat a beautiful review and sterling book. There is a special calling to be single I believe and your article proves that society insists that, by pressures, that every single woman should be married. Your work is an inspirational for all godly women everywhere.
Singles, particularly single Christian women, are ignored, forgotten, and sometimes scorned even among Christians. As you point out the percentage of single women in the United States, you've shown just how lop-sided it is to focus almost exclusively on married couples--a message that is so true--and sad. You really know how to write a review and I vote this helpful. I also hope that single Christian women who are truly keeping themselves pure will be greatly encouraged.
