Book Review: Terminal Neglect by Michael Rushnak

David Lindberg
Current news about pharmaceutical and health insurance companies spending millions in lobbying and supporting radical groups that fill our media with blatant non-truths about health care reform, certainly can be interpreted as reinforcement to the thought that there is some reality within "Terminal Neglect", published by PublishingWorks, Inc.

Dr. Michael Rushnak's years of experience as a physician has provided him with an insider viewpoint of all the aspects of our health care system. Dr. Rushnak is retired from his private practice in order to work in the public health care arena.

This book grabs your interest from the first few pages and reveals a plot of deception and corruption of an unscrupulous pharmaceutical company with deep connections in the political and medical world. The handful of powerful corporate leaders will do anything to advance promotion of their controversial new cancer drug and to increase profit margins, at the expense of thousands of innocent patients.

The author gives a perfect blend of twists and surprises as he reveals the path of the main character, a physician who's life mission is to insure that Americans are provided the best and safest medical care available. The main character, Dr. Jonathan Rogers, sees that the opportunity to support his cause may become possible by becoming the U.S. Surgeon General, but also feels he is being asked to compromise his ideals by being a "good team player".

This book makes one wonder what levels the real corporate world would go to in the pursuit of power, as the current economical crisis the world is going through was caused by this same corruption and greed.
