Book of Words

A book of words,

it used to be,

now a passage,

for eternity.

Guiding and directing,

it helps me to see,

the choices I'll make,

the person I'll be.

Following words,

strengthening lines,

future decisions,

of all different kinds.

Knowledge it gives,

to all who believe,

eternal acceptance,

we will receive.

Love, faith and trust

unto thee we will give,

filling our souls,

helping us live.

Working together,

to heal and unite,

the stories have shown,

a new peaceful light.

Gathering to praise,

lifting the name,

of one precious father,

who makes nothing the same.

Changing the world,

making everything anew,

thanking our Creator,

who's lifted the dew.

Taken my sins,

one story does tell,

saving me from,

an everlasting hell.

The words they do say,

he rose from the dead,

giving new life,

for all who have said.

I love thee dear Lord,

you've promised all men,

that someday you will,

be coming back again.
