Booker T Runs PWA School in Houston

To many fans, Booker T is a recognizable name. To fans that remember the older days, Booker T is a multi-time Tag Team and World Champion.

SInce his departure from TNA Wrestling a couple of months ago, the Houston native has since returned home to not only his family, but back to school.

His school, that is, being the PWA Academy. The school is located in the heart of Houston's downtown warehouse district, and is where young hopefuls come to realize a dream of becoming a professional wrestler.

Booker said, "I know the veterans aren't going to be around forever, so it'll be nice to see the business move forward with the younger kids."

But he doesn't promise them everything. "I don't tell these guys that they're going to be big stars. That's not what I do," he explained. "I give them the essential tools to get started. Anything beyond that is a result of what they put in."

He opened the school in March of 2005, with his brother Stevie Ray. Together, they begin teaching the art of professional wrestling to students like occasional WWE talent The Boogeyman.
