Books About Dreaming

Jennifer Kirkman
There are a large number of books out there about dreams, but some are better than others. One of the books about dreams that is good to own is by Betty Bethards called The Dream Book: Symbols for Self Understanding. Chapter one gets into the meaning of your dreams and talks about prayer and meditation. Chapter two explores, how to work with your dreams, how to solve problems by what you have dreamed about, and common types of dreams people have. Chapter three gets into dreams and enlightenment, and dreams and self knowledge.

The Dream Dictionary: An A to Z Guide to Understanding Your Unconscious Mind by Tony Crisp is another book on dreams which covers many dream related topics. Tony Crisp is a dream therapist that says you need to let your dreams help your problem solving, why you have dreams that recur, and maximizing your health through your dream ventures during sleep. This therapist tries to help you understand how you can gain life perspective by using your dreams.

Understanding the Dreams You Dream by Ira Milligan talks about dreams as a way of God communicating with you in your life. The author applies some scripture lessons based on what you are dreaming about, and how this applies to your life.

Dream Language: The Prophetic Power of Dreams by James W.Goll is another book based upon scriptures and how they relate to our dreaming what we dream, and how it may be the interpretation of what is happening in our lives. The first chapter covers the framework of our dreams, and how God is our master dream weaver in our lives. The book is reminding us that through our dreams, God is indeed always present in our lives no matter what.

Every Dreamer's Handbook by Ira L. Milligan comes in two volumes, book one and book two. It explores why you dream the way you do, and what it might mean in your life. Book two in this book is all the more informative and spiritually enriching for your life.

Dreams and Visions by Jane Hamon is another selection that has received some excellent reviews. The first chapter covers God's Purpose for Dreams and Visions, Chapter two gets more into dreams, visions, and prophecy, chapter three covers a lot more on spiritual dreams and visions, and chapter 4, 5, and 6, delves more into how to interpret whether your dreams are an actual message from God, and also defines what is a nightmare. This is one book that I think is well worth having in your library.

These are some of the better books about dreaming and exploring what is behind them. You can check your local bookstore for these books.
