Boost Mobile's walkie-talkie feature is available on the Motorola i9, and allows users to talk with other Boost Mobile users with the push of a single button; this feature is free. The i9 has a built-in MP3 player, which can be used to play any mp3 audio files with the cellphone's speakers, or via a headset made for cellphones.
The i9 has a 3.1 megapixel camera, which is twice as large as the average camera included on a most cellphones; the camera can record video as well as take photos, and has 8x zoom and a small flash. The device can send audio, video, and picture files via MMS messaging.
Internet can be accessed via a built-in web browser. You can use it to browse the Internet, or to download ringtones and wallpapers. All ringtones, whether user-uploaded or downloaded online, can be assigned to any image on the camera and further assigned to a specific user in the phone's contacts.
The Motorola i9 can be used a GPS device using the GPS feature that shows road map directions right on the screen (dependant on location). There is also Bluetooth, which can be used for either adding/removing music and videos, or for connecting to a stereo hands-free headset.
