My experience started with acquiring a service with Virgin Mobile Prepaid. Initially, I was quite hesitant about going into service with a prepaid service, but I had heard many positive things about Virgin Mobile. I went ahead, took the plunge by going to the local Wal-Mart Super Center, and purchased a phone. I felt that I received a decent deal on the phone, which was a Snapper cell phone. The phone had numerous capabilities like text messaging, the ability to surf the web, and taking pictures. I have to admit the camera part was what really drew me into this phone. The phone came with a Sim Card and $10.00 to get started. I purchased an additional $20.00 card so that I would have more minutes.
Setting the phone up was relatively easy. Of course, I ended up calling Customer Service to get assistance with the setup of the phone and the account. I felt that the team of customer care professionals that handled my issues was very polite. They exhibited all the signs of true customer service as they were empathetic to my needs, they listened to my issues and concerns, and they assisted me on my level of understanding.
My service with Virgin Mobile was excellent. I felt that they had very decent rates on everything they had to offer and the customer service was excellent. Each time that I had to contact Virgin Mobile, they were helpful and considerate.
Eventually, everyone in my family started switching over to the Boost Mobile Prepaid Service. This was mostly because of the fact that Boost Mobile had the Walkie-Talkie feature and we could communicate with each other all day for only $1.00. I should have known from day one that this was a mistake.
I called Boost Mobile customer service in order to get assistance in setting up my phone and I have to say that every minute of the conversation was uncomfortable. The customer service team at Boost Mobile is rude and seems to care less about the customer and their issue. They exhibited many signs of poor quality customer service. For example, the agent was actually talking to and joking around with another agent while she was on the phone with me! Additionally, I could tell that she was not paying attention. I had to repeat questions and statements so many times that I got extremely frustrated.
I can honestly say, each time that I have contacted Boost Mobile's Customer Service Team, they have been rude, disrespectful, and do not act as if they want to be on the phone with you at all. The Customer Service Team at Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile's Team are like comparing night and day. I am extremely unhappy with Boost Mobile.
The only reason I am still a customer is that Virgin Mobile does not have plans that include a Walkie-Talkie feature. The minute that they do, though, I will immediately switch back.

Post a CommentObviously this article is old, but funny thing that she mentioned a sim card with virgin mobile and she had the snapper phone. Virgin in the US doesn't use sim cards and the snapper is a CDMA handset. Seems like a Boost bash to me.
