When you first glance out of the plane window, it seems like you've been transported to "Fantasy Island" without all of the mysterious happenings. The azure and turquoise waters beckon your desires beyond imagination. The motus dotting the lagoon protecting the large immediately recognizable centerpiece of volcanic outcropping all seem too fantastic to exist. Your eyes wander back and forth constantly, not wanting to miss anything.
Finally, the plane touches down, and you embark on the most exotic and relaxing vacation imaginable. Bora Bora...Land of ancient gods and magnificently tempting people, places, and culinary delights. The lush tropical air washes over your senses as you slip out of the plane and onto the tarmac. You've died and gone to Heaven! That is the only explanation possible.
You are graciously greeted with flower leis and the most magnificent tropical refreshment. The taste is incomparable, beyond any flavor you've ever enjoyed. Aroma, aura, sensation, vision, flavor, all explode in a true moment of pure enjoyment. You realize that unlike the delay in ultimate relaxation that accompanies almost all vacation starts, you have already begun to mellow to the point of near liquidation. Awesome!
You enjoy a most pleasant cabin cruiser ride that whisks you to your spectacular overwater bungalow...bungalow indeed! You are in the lap of luxury. The bamboo roofed grass hut exterior belies the treasures inside. You step into a spacious and modern yet quaint room that is far beyond any hotel room you have seen. Beautiful flower petals are lightly strewn over the inviting and romantic centerpiece bed and floating on the top of the crystal clear water in the half-filled canoe shaped bathtub. You notice a glass trunk-like structure at the foot of the bed...it is actually a viewing stage for the pleasures of the Bora Bora lagoon water immediately beneath your bungalow. Yes, you can view the ocean right underneath your feet. You can even lift the top and feed the infinitely painted fish. Despite being virtually overwhelmed by such enchantment, you drag yourself to the sliding patio door that leads you to your own, very private deck with a bamboo covered outdoor dining table area. You are about to collapse from excitement when the final romantic little touch catches your eye. You have a deck ladder that descends directly into the ocean water below and your own private entrance into some of the most fascinating snorkeling you will find.
You must accept the Bora Bora call to nirvana. The most ingratiating and most beautiful people you have ever encountered will guide you on the sensory experience of a lifetime. Relax and allow your self to indulge in the decadent sensations of Bora Bora. Enjoy!
