Born Of Osiris is a Chicago based Metal that recently released their debut album "The New Reign" on Sumerian Records (The Faceless, Stick To Your Guns) I highly recommend this CD to any fans of metal, especially the new "deathcore" genre. This band goes above and beyond the typical chugga-chug sounds of the deathcore genre (sure, they have plenty of breakdowns) and goes to new heights with plenty of melodic-death influenced passages. Here is the track listing for "The New Reign":
.) Rosecrance
.) Empires Erased
.) Open Arms To Damnation
.) Abstract Art
.) The New Reign
.) Brace Legs
.) Bow Down
.) The Takeover
The cd clocks in at 21.5 minutes, so it is definitely on the shorter side... but I promise you that it is well worth the $$. If you are looking for something new to listen to and enjoy heavy, melodic music, then I would definitely suggest that you go out and get this cd!
