The Boston Children's Museum is always a source of great fun and excitement for adults and children alike. The museum provides many educational and delightfully fun activities for everyone. Here are some highlights of what is going on at the Boston Children's Museum for the month of November.

Special Events at the Boston Children's Museum for November 2007

Friday, November 9, 2007 Family Event Let's Make Kirigami.6 - 8 p.m. Kirigami is the Japanese art of cutting paper into intricate designs. Like our children, each design is unique.

Saturday, November 10, 2007 Family Event Acidic Painting. 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Explore acids and bases and how their properties can make beautiful artwork.

Monday, November 12, 2007Family Event Healthy Happenings: Experience the Nutcracker. 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Boston Ballet students will perform excerpts from The Nutcracker. The performance will also provide a springboard to fun activities.

Saturday, November 17, 2007 Family Event Teaching Creatures 1 - 3 p.m. Featured animals: gecko, snakes, and others. Through learning about these animals, participants will learn ways to to take care of the earth.

Saturday, November 17, 2007 Family Event Kualban Stories from China 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Kualban is a form of rhythmic storytelling from China. Jan Walls will be telling these stories in English and Chinese.

Sunday, November 18, - Saturday, November 24, 2007 Family Event Learn how to play a variety of different fun games. (Closed Thanksgiving Day)

Tuesday, November 20 and Wednesday, November 21, 2007 Family Event Arthur's Thanksgiving 2 - 3 p.m. Enjoy a read aloud of Marc Brown's story about Arthur and his school play. Children will be invited to create an Arthur bookmark and meet the character from 2:45 - 3:15pm each day.

Daily Events at the Boston Children's Museum for November 2007

Tuesdays, Tasty Tuesdays 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Prepare delicious snacks that toddlers and grown ups will both like.

Wednesdays, Pint Sized Science 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Preschool children have the opportunity to explore science concepts.

Fridays, Fresh Fridays 5 - 6 p.m. Learn about new foods and take home recipes.

Admission Information
Seniors(65+):
$8.00
Children (2-15): $8.00
Children (1): $2.00
Children under one are free.

Discounts include group rates, military discounts, and library discount coupons.

    This is an excellent article! I just wish I lived close enough to visit this awesome museum. Someday, I hope to go to Massachusetts, where my ancestors lived in the 1600'. In that case, I will certainly make it a point to take the kids to the museum.
