Summer Shack in Cambridge is a modestly priced kid-friendly restaurant. As the kids walk up to the Summer Shack, they are greeted by a huge sea captain near the entrance. Eye-catching fish tanks grab the attention of the kids, feeling more like attending a seaside picnic than a restaurant in the busy Cambridge streets. The restaurant is casual and all kids receive a helium balloon and crayons while they wait for their food. The tablecloths are brown paper and the kids can create masterpieces right on the tablecloth with their crayons.

A balloon sculptor entertains children on Sunday nights from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and kids get to make their own free Sundaes.

The Summer Shack's children's menu has traditional and inexpensive fare, like macaroni and cheese, hamburgers, chicken fingers, and corn dogs. Parents get to choose from delicious seafood entrees, like roasted lobster and creamy seafood chowders, as well as non-seafood items.

The Full Moon is a remarkably kid-friendly restaurant that features a play area stocked with toys in the back of the restaurant. Choose a puzzle from the toy area and bring it back to the table to pass the time before the food arrives. Before leaving the restaurant, all the toys have to be picked up and place back in the toy area.

The Full Moon also offers a Children's Menu with all the kid's favorites, hot dogs, French fries, macaroni and cheese, pizza, carrot sticks, and fruit cup. Even sippy cups are available for young children.

Adults also enjoy traditional entrees and daily specials from the menu like, soup, pizza, salad, fish, chicken, pasta, or steak. The whole family enjoys the mouth watering homemade desserts: brownies, cookies, apple cobbler and pudding.

Fire + Ice is a vibrant kid-friendly Boston restaurant where kids under two eat free; kids between three and seven eat for $6.95 and ages eight to twelve eat for $9.95. Dinner is served Sunday through Thursday from 4:00pm-10:30 and on Friday and Saturday from 4:00pm-11:00pm. You can also order from a late night menu any day until 12:30am.

Redbones offers a kid's menu that includes kid's favorites like, chicken fingers and French fries, hot dogs, and macaroni and cheese. What's great about the kid's menu is it also includes some items not usually found on kid's menus: baby back ribs, pulled pork, and catfingers. All of these kid's menu items are only $4.95.

Great deals are also found on the adult menu with most entrees not more than $10.00. Redbones also offers dinners made for four people or six people. This option is really convenient to order for the whole family. It includes: BBQ ribs and chicken; pull pork, beef, or chicken; beans; coleslaw; cornbread; rolls, and BBQ sauce.
