This simple heart necklace is a sweet Valentine's Day necklace craft made form bottle caps, hearts, and resin. Girls of all ages can make this simple heart necklace for Valentine's Day. Even a few little boys might enjoy this simple heart necklace craft; it makes a wonderful Valentine's Day gift with homemade touch!

To Make a Heart Necklace from a Bottle Cap You Will Need:

1 Bottle Cap

Resin Kit

Heart Beads

Chain, Rope, or Leather Twine

Tiny piece of leather

To get started you will need one bottle cap, the kind from a glass coke bottle or beer bottle.

Paint each out in any color you want. Spray paint works great for this. You will want to paint the inside as well as the outside, because you will be able to see all of the colors. It is also a fun idea to paint the inside an accent color that pairs well with the outside color.

Once all the paint dries you war ready to place any object you want inside the bottle cap for the necklace. Since the theme is Valentine's Day a heart shaped bead would be perfect for this!

You can also cut out a favorite picture in the shape of a heart, use some dried flowers, or simply anything small that fits inside the bottle cap. You do not want any part of this small object to stick out of the bottle cap.

Now, go ahead and mix your resin kit together following the instructions on the box.

Pour the mixes and prepared resin into the bottle caps filling them until they are level.

Let the bottle caps sit until the resin is completely dried.

To assemble the necklace your want to cut out a tiny piece of leather or suede fabric. This should be a small square that easily fits onto tieback of the bottle cap.

Run a tiny bead of epoxy glue on the top edge and bottom back edge of the fabric.

Press this into the bottle cap making a tunnel to later thread the necklace through Allow the epoxy glue to dry completely for twenty four hours.

Take ea length of rope, tine, or leather open cut to 18 inches and slide it through the tunnel on the back of the Valentine's Day necklace. Tie into knot on the end and you are finshed!

This is a fun Valentines Day craft for a group of girls at a party!
