When planning a visit to Denver's downtown attractions such as Coors Field, the Denver Convention Center, the Denver Center for Performing Arts, or the 16th Street Mall, the boutique hotels of downtown offer unique hotel experiences in addition to luxury accommodations, right where the action is. Whether you're a fan of pop-culture, theater, history, or just looking for a unique luxury Denver experience, you'll be sure to find downtown accommodations that will suit your taste.

The Oxford Hotel (303-628-5400) - Opened in 1891, the historic Oxford Hotel has been a staple of Denver's historic LoDo district and offers an experience that's both classic and luxurious. The hotel's 80 rooms are decorated in French, English, Victorian, and early 20th Century American décor with antique furnishings, but not all rooms are the same. Different colors, layouts, and amenities make for a unique experience depending what room you stay in. The luxury features and amenities include Bose stereos systems, the Oxford Club, Spa and Salon next door, and the award-winning Cruise Room martini bar.

Hotel Teatro (303-228-1100) - The luxurious Hotel Teatro pays homage to the Denver theater scene. Located just across the street from the Denver Center of Performing Arts, the Hotel Teatro is decorated with costumes, artwork and photos from the Denver Centre Theatre Company. It also offers a number of theater packages to its guests. In addition to its "dramatic" ambiance, the luxury décor and amenities in the hotel's 110 rooms include 600 thread count custom made sheets, five-fixture bathrooms, and in-room massages upon request. The hotel also hosts the AAA Four Diamond Kevin Taylor Restaurant.

The Curtis (800-525-6651) - Whether it's classic horror movies, TV shows, or even King Tut, The Curtis hotel caters to fans of them all. The upscale hotel has 13 floors decorated in different pop-culture themes. Its 310 rooms have modern amenities including flat screen TVs and iPod docking stations. The lobby has games and treats familiar to childhood. The Corner Office Restaurant within the hotel is decorated in early '60s style (think "Mad Men").

Hotel Monaco (303-296-1717) - With style and amenities unique to Denver, the 189-room Hotel Monaco provides a hip, elegant and fun experience for its guests. The hotel's décor combines bold colors with elegant accents and furnishings. Fun activities include a hosted evening wine reception complete with chair massages from the on-site Renaissance Aveda Spa and Salon, and appetizers from award-winning Panzano Restaurant in the hotel. Unique hotel features include "Tall Rooms" with extra long beds and heightened shower heads.
