Would you like to go out for New Year's Eve without having to leave your kids at home this year? Bowling Centers are a "best-kept-secret" for family fun, especially when there is cause for a celebration. I am a bowling fiend, and this year almost every Bowling Center I've seen is planning for their guests to have a blow-out blast ringing in 2009.
Here is just one local example: Fern Valley Strike and Spare at 6220 Shepherdsville Rd. in Louisville, Kentucky is offering a complete Family Party Package including five hours of bowling, from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Pizza for all, snacks and party favors, and drinks ranging from Coke and Sparkling Cider to Beer and Champagne, for up to six people per lane. The package price is $125.00 for the night.
To contact them for more information, call 502 968 2695. This same package is being offered at most of the Strike and Spare Family Fun Centers in the greater Louisville area, with some prices slightly lower. For an overview on the Web, go to www.strikeandspare.com.
If you are a die-hard bowler like me, you know how fun and energizing bowling can be. If you've never really given bowling a try, it is one of the most family and community oriented sports opportunities going. It is athletic and competitive, yet somehow everybody roots for everybody as spirits rise and fall in a flash with the falling pins--or not!
There is almost always uproar of laughter to be shared. So, if you're looking for the perfect place all of the family at any age can go check out your local Bowling Centers. To do a Web search in your town, just enter "Bowling Centers (name of your town)." It will be a breeze to find one from there.
