Instead of Lasagna I've created a dish replacing the standard lasagna noodles with a twist of bowtie pasta. Here's a simply way to make a delicious casserole with many of the ingredients found in lasagna.

Directions for Bowtie Creazione Original Recipe

Step One - Meat sauce and pasta preparation
Meat Sauce -Brown ground beef in large skillet on medium heat.Drain excessive liquid. When skillet is off the burner add:Spaghetti sauce,Finely chopped onion,Dried basil, garlic powder, Salt and pepper for taste.Place skillet back on burner on medium heat until boiling.Cover and simmer meat sauce until pasta is ready.Pasta -Follow bowtie pasta directions on box.Use up all pasta.Make sure it is cooked al dente (or when pasta is still firm).2

Step Two - Layering with cheeses
Use either cooking spray or olive oil to grease all sides and bottom of an 8-ounce casserole bakeware. Layer the bottom with meat sauce until it covers the entire bottom. Next layer the bottom with bowtie pasta. Continue with spreading the Provolone cheese slices on either most or all of the pasta. Sprinkle shredded mozarella cheese till almost covered. Complete the first layer with some dollops of ricotta cheese scattered. Repeat the same layering steps for layers #2 and #3. Cover dish and put onto center rack for 30-35 minutes. When you take the bowtie creation (creazione) out of the oven let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Buon AppetitoTip
It is best to use an 8-ounce covered deep dish casserole bakeware for this recipe. Using aluminum foil will make the pasta become very dry. A covered casserole keeps the pasta moist and cooks faster.
