Boxing with Destiny

A.M. Morgan
Life is full of unexpected surprises. Or is it really something preordained to happen?

Can we really wish for the perfect moment when situations and circumstances are outside of our control?

When you think of someone who's broken your heart or disappointed you maybe it was simply time for that relationship to end and nothing more or less.

If you think about everything as exactly as it should be then the struggle to make things right would be of a far less challenging concern. The daily battle in search of the truth would no longer be a pain because you will allow it to uncover itself on its own.

What you don't know means the pages haven't been written in your biography so patiently wait as the script writes and revises itself.

Never compare someone's progress to your own because when it is time for your light to shine that little light of yours will be unmoved by the potential for darkness.

Don't stress over what someone else expects you to be because you can't measure who you are through the outside lenses of someone else.

Never spend time shedding tears over the small things that need to come about to bring forth a promising change.

Your future is the result of factors not always determined by you so let go of the need to be a baggage handler for it wears down the soul.

Always prepare at your best so opportunity will be a natural welcomed occurrence.

Don't say no to reality just because you don't understand it; rather spend time learning how to patiently respond to whatever Murphy's Law decides to prevail.

God loves us in our splendor and even when we fall from grace, while we are wondering how to calculate perfectly every move in our lives.

Overall, I often wonder if we are in a defensive stance boxing with what God has already called upon as our destiny.

I really believe that our challenges are to produce exceptional character in us. We respond internally differently than someone else may under the same circumstances.

Life has seasons and cycles, that doesn't change. But what can change is our perspective, outlook, and internal dialog.

The simple answer to the question, "Why me God?!" is...
"Because you're here, and alive, and able to grow from it!"

Wonderful article. Faith is key, followed by patience. It is hard to have one without the other.
