BP Charged with Negligent Homicide

At Least it Seems They Should Be!

David A. Reinstein, LCSW
Linoleum is
A product
Of petroleum.
Dinosaurs
Might have
Been just a tad
Miffed
To know
That what
Became of them
Got walked on
Quite a bit.

Gasoline and diesel, too.
Plastics
And
Vaseline.
Ironic
That what began
As living creatures
Has become
A large part
Of what is destroying
The world's
Natural
Green.

Toxic when used
With care.
Homi- and suicidal
When humans
And the companies
We create
Slide into
Their most banal,
Profit driven
Potentials.
Dead people,
Dead animals
And
Crippled ecosystems.
All undeniable.
All preventable.

Sentient beings have
Less concern for
The head of
British Petroleum
Getting his "life back"
Than that the damage
Their
Pressured
And pressuring greed
Has wrought
Be repaired.

In an International
Trans-Life Form Court,
The charge might not be
Murder
In the First Degree,
There having been
No provable
Malice
Aforethought.
But Negligent Homicide
Probably
Suitably describes
Their crime
Against
All living things.

    It is ironic, isn't it?

It's a bad thing but a clever way of putting it..

So true and I do have major concerns about the environmental impact of all this, when it all could have been prevented. They didn't even think about a worst case scenario, let alone test methods of stopping it.
