The Executive Director and Group Chief Executive BP Plc London Tony Hayward has been removed from top position and replaced by BP Managing Director Bob Dudley.
The former head of the largest natural oil producers in the world was facing tough question and more as a result of the recent massive oil spill affecting the shores of southern United States.
On April 20, Gulf of Mexico oil spill, explosion and fire on the drilling rig Deepwater Horizon, owned by TransoceanLtd. and leased by BP PLC, occurred. The chaos that ensued since has escalated and devastated nature, the environment and those individuals personally affected everyday since. The blast that killed 11 workers continues to pour oil into the Gulf from a blown-out undersea well.
