BP Oil Spill Webcam Spurs Innovention

While the BP oil spill crisis will likely have negative ecological consequences, the strange popularity of BP's oil spill cam has riveted millions of netizens who watch the streaming video live. In order to take advantage of this trend in live streaming webcaming, several large corporations have decided to offer some live cams themselves. They include:

1. McDonald's deep fryer webcam. Visitors to the McDonald's website can get a special view inside the deep fryer as they watch their fries and nuggets getting cooked.

2. Department of Motor Vehicles webcam. Perfect for falling asleep, this webcam documents in glorious live streaming video technology the absolute boredom of standing in line at the City of Brooklyn's Department of Motor Vehicles.

3. San Diego Zoo Polar Bear Cam, watch polar bears from the warmth, and relative safety, of your office cubicle.

4. Dryer webcam. Aye-Four Laundromat in Kissimmee Florida decided to install a webcam in a dryer so interested parties (who ever they would be), can watch people put in, and take out, their clothes. A watertight washer cam is also expected to be introduced next month.

5. New York sewer cam. That's right, the City of New York is planning on installing a webcam in several sewers in undisclosed locations around the city. Lucky viewers may find themselves watching some sewer alligators swim past the cam.

6. Airport security cam. LAX is planning on putting a public cam near their security screening area. Public viewers can watch passengers get selected for random security checks and can suggest which passenger they believe need to have their luggage opened.
