Brad Womack and Emily Maynard May Be Just Playing Out Their Contracts

Brad and Emily were seen dining out at a Austin, Texas restaurant on Friday, the restaurant staff confirmed that it was Brad Womack and Emily Maynard in the establishment, according to the website Rumor Fix.

The reports bouncing around this "Bachelor" couple have been very confusing for their fans. Neither Brad nor Emily have said a word about their relationship or even if they have one at this time and date. It may be that they are just playing out the remainder of their contract.

New evidence also appears to have been planted for the fans on Emily Maynard's Twitter page. She has been in contact with Brad's brother and sister-in-law in the last few days. The entries seem to be discussing their recent time together in Texas.

The website has offered up a new picture of Brad and Emily for evidence that the two were together, but the couple in the photo appear only as silhouettes. This picture does not show who this couple is, with one face obstructed by a pole, and the other face appears to have a pair of glasses on. The picture in no way offers evidence that this is Brad and Emily.

The hostess of the restaurant told Rumor fix that it was Brad and Emily having lunch at the restaurant on Friday. While the hostess did not notice if Emily was wearing her engagement ring or not, one eyewitness was adamant that Emily had her diamond on.The restaurant hostess said that while Brad and Emily had lunch, they looked "cozy together," they did not show any PDA (public displays of affection).

The saga of Brad and Emily has been one of the most puzzling relationships for the "Bachelor" fans as of yet. Too many variables point to this couple as not being a couple at all in the last few months, starting with their lack of public appearances together. If Brad and Emily had truly found a love match, the "Bachelor" franchise would have used this couple for publicity.

Brad and Emily would have appeared on talk shows together as well as being interviewed as a couple in magazines. The one and only time the two appeared for an interview was the final night of the "Bachelor" and the two were very ambiguous about the future. Brad wasn't even sure if the two were engaged until Emily said that she considered herself engaged, but she wanted to take the relationship slow.

That one interview planted the seed that the two might not be a couple and were just playing the part due to their contract with ABC or the "Bachelor" franchise. The reports started about a break-up and then they were denied, with Emily's mother even getting in on the media circus and telling People Magazine that Brad and Emily are far away from getting married and that they are experiencing an "on and off again" relationship.

Numerous reports followed that Brad and Emily had split and it was Emily that called off the engagement due to Brad continuing to be a player and being out at the bars to all hours of the morning, like an article from Hollywood Life. Hollywood Life also reported that Brad had been spending more time with an ex-girlfriend than he was Emily, which left Emily "heart broken."

When you really look at the big picture here, Brad and Emily have not displayed anything that resembles a relationship except for what appeared to be a very well orchestrated set of pictures taken when Brad supposedly went to Tennessee to visit Emily and her daughter. The very staged looking pictures were that of a happy couple and a young child, but no live interaction between the couple has ever been seen since the end of the "Bachelor" show. It is hard to believe that Brad and Emily were ever truly a couple.

The "Bachelor" does not have a good track record at creating lasting love matches, so it is hard to promote a show that bases its existence on match making if it just never produces one. This may be the driving factor to keep Brad and Emily alive in the media. It is also hard to believe that these two are a good match, with Brad who is a playboy and Emily who is a single mother in a world far away from the drinking and nightlife that Brad participates in.

Chances are that there is just enough information being sent out to keep the fans guessing about a relationship between Brad and Emily, but again, if they were together this would be a celebrated match and the biggest PR for the "Bachelor" franchise, which would use the couple as a promotion and not keep them hidden away.
