A Dangerous and Difficult Ride
Mountain bike enthusiasts looking for a challenging mountain bike trail will not be disappointed by the trail located in Brady's Run Park. I will admit that I have never biked this steep and fast mountain bike trail, but as a regular hiker to Brady's Run Park, I have seen many bikers traverse the steep and windy mountain bike trail that has claimed at least one life.
Mountain Biker Killed at Brady's Run Park
In 2009, a forty-four-year-old mountain biker was thrown over the handlebars of his bike during a steep descent. The biker suffered a fatal head injury, despite the fact that he was wearing a helmet. The mountain bike trails at Brady's Run Park are definitely not for the faint of heart.
Description of Mountain Bike Trail at Brady's Run Park
Brady's Run Park contains fifteen miles of single-track mountain bike trails. According to mountain bike enthusiasts, the park has some of the steepest ascents and most heart-pounding descents that can be found in Western Pennsylvania. The mountain bike trails at Brady's Run Park are best for very experienced bikers.
Directions to Brady's Run Park
Beautiful Brady's Run Park is located at 121 Brady's Run Drive in Beaver Falls Pennsylvania. Those traveling from the Pittsburgh airport can take 376 west to the Beaver Falls exit to get to the park. The park with its fifteen miles of mountain bike trails is located about 30 minutes from the Pittsburgh airport.
Other Things to Do at Brady's Run Park
Every spring Brady's Run Park hosts its annual Maple Syrup Festival, which is probably the most famous activity at the park. The park also has a beach where it is possible to swim and to rent canoes or kayaks. Brady's Run Park has several hiking trails, picnic and playground areas and even an enclosed dog friendly recreation area, where you can let your dog run off-leash. Fishing is also permitted in the park; the streams and lake are stocked with trout.
Brady's Run Park is considered one of Beaver County's treasures. For those who are looking for a challenging and exciting bike trail you will not be disappointed.

Post a CommentWhere the biker was killed was not a very long nor steep descent. I wasn't a witness to the accident, but it appears that he could have gone off the side of the bridge that spans the intermitent stream. The bridge is only about 18-24" wide, but elevated about 24-32" above the stream bed. A very tragic and sad event. Flowers are still along the side where this fateful event occurred. Peace to the rider and condolences to the family.

Glad to see there are some activities which aren't quite so strenuous.
Sounds too physical for me now, but when I was a kid I would have loved it.
