Bragging

Casey
This may sound like bragging

And it may be

But when I was growing up

I hung out with older girls

They thought they were so much better than me

Always talking about all the guys who wanted them

I just sat listened sometimes and laughed to myself

Because I knew even back then looks alone won't carry you

They made me out to be the ugly duckling

Trying to set me up with guys

Thinking I wasn't good enough to get them on my own

I really laugh now

Because all those girls I used to hang around

Had a crush on my fiancé

They wanted him thought he was hot

But he'd have nothing to do with them

He said he didn't want to waste his time

With a girl and a relationship that would go no where

Waste his time with a girl he had nothing in common with

One that wouldn't hold onto the deer heart as he gutted it

A girl who wouldn't finish the concrete he poured

Like I said I may be bragging

But I've waited a long time for a man like him
