Brainwashed Too

Revised from Don't Let Frear Stop You

Daniel McGuinness
Thoughts that are twisted and damaged; whether viewed by society this way or self recognized. This could be and accepted effect of "control" which has crippled so many of our thoughts. This control would not be possible without the brainwashing through fear. This fear that controls us has been conditioned into our thoughts via religious influence, courses taken in school, even by our many different governments. We are brainwashed by those who are brainwashed; we are being taught only what those who were teaching were taught. The realization of this control influences my thoughts in questioning the reason for choices in living, the choices made while living, and the choice to live and for the reason of choices.

Some of our thoughts want to rebel against this control, thoughts that are free question this reality. Are we taught the truth? Are there always two sides to a story? If so what the other side? Is what we know correct? Without answers to these questions the twisted mind may never settle down or ease to comfort. Our thoughts may never be free from this control; ergo our thoughts may never be true. Our own conscious ability to distinguish between right and wrong mislead.

In order for a mass of people to become controlled, the controller must be respected. The best way in insure this respect is to establish fear. This fear will allow the ruler to remain in control. Teach this fear and for the many generations to come this fear based control will follow.

Religion uses the fear of hell to exert control. The controlled feel that if they sin, their consequence is eternal damnation. To avoid this suffering of their souls they base their choices according to their Religious word. Their choices in life are controlled and without the majority realizing this restriction on life, paths for the masses lives are already determined. The choices they make without control are not free based, but rather choices with little impact or meaning. What's for lunch? For example or what should I wear? These choices that are non-controlled won't influence or improve one's life. Their thoughts are now directed by religious control.

The governments of today have controlled the masses for centuries using fear and guilt. Different from the many religions; where fear is fueled by faith. Governments generate fear more visibly via military force, imprisonment, and other so called appropriate punishments. These masses controlled by governments don't exercise free choice, for fear they'll break a law or fear of the consequence of not obeying. These people's paths are not quite as paved as the religious controlled masses, nonetheless a direction of life is given and if you don't agree you suffer the consequences.

We remain brainwashed into believing this fear-generated control. This gives what we call the proper way to live, the right way to live. So do what you are told, be truthful, go to school get an education, so you can get a high end job and live life happily ever after. Really what you are doing is talking when you should be listening, standing pat when trading a card is the right move, learning what they want you to learn, you've become a puppet. Is this really a correct and healthy way of thinking or living? Is this the way towards enlightenment? Without limitations on our thought's we might have or have had the thoughts of free happiness, true ever after.

Can we really believe and trust in a system, whose main priority and focused goal is to maintain and ensure control? Can we rid our minds free from this controlled influence? Will our thoughts and choices ever be our own; will we ever be free?

24 years on this emotional rollercoaster I call life and i still get bored. However the charming way of life which keeps me interested is human error.  View profile
